The Svitlodar ambulance department of Bakhmut district health care center was sheled in January-February 2015. The first shells fell on the territory of the medical facility on January 21, 2015. The nurse of the operating room told the representatives of the LRHRC "Alternative" about it.

According to the nurse, the medical institution was fired from 12 pm to 2 pm for the first time. At that moment, doctors strengthened inpatient care. At that time, 18 to 19 patients were in the dispensary. Some patients used to come to doctors, but mostly in the morning.

"We worked during the shelling, trying to stay away from the windows but close to rooms without windows. We had been offered to be evacuated, but due to various reasons, almost all the employees refused"

–recalls the nurse.

Because of the combat, the car serving the ambulance station was left in Debaltsevo. Although military equipment was not delivered directly to the territory of the ambulance, yet there were serious consequences of shelling. The doctors eyewitnessed pits created by shells explosions, and pieces of shells lay on the ground of the ambulance yard. After these events, some employees had heart problems, while others stuttered.
